Take the next steps in wheel throwing. 

During this six-week ceramics course you'll build on your existing experience, while finnessing those fundamentals of wheel throwing. You’ll be able to take bigger balls of mud and throw them into the shapes you want (well, at least some of the time!).

+ Structure

In the first two weeks we’ll revisit centring (the most gloriously frustrating, hypnotising process you’ll ever experience), and how to manipulate your blob and bigger blobs into a works of art. In week three, we learn how to trim ribbons of clay to finesse our items. We then go back to throwing for weeks four and five. We find now you’ve had a few tries and run through the entire process, you start to actually get the hang of it in these weeks.  In the final week, we come together for a glazing session to turn our masterpieces into fully functional ceramics.

Included in our six week session is weekly, 2 hour lessons from our fabulous throwing master, who will hold your hand every step of the way - literally if needed -  beautiful, tactile midfire clay, firing and glazing.

+ Experience required

This class is ideal for folks with little to some experience, those who've had a few lessons, and are looking for a some more help to improve their technique.  

+ Can I reschedule 

Class sessions run for six consecutive weeks. Same day, same time. Sorry, if you can’t make it to a session, we’re not able to offer make-up classes, or switcheroos. 

+ How do I book

Please note: only the FIRST date of the session is listed when booking in below (click 'select a time' button).  You only need to book in for  the first date of the session and you will be automatically signed up for all 6 consecutive weeks. 

*If one of your course dates falls on a public holiday, your course will resume the following week, and pick up where you left off.   

Class sizes are strictly limited (sorry, you must be over 16 years to attend)
